Yay!!! I didn't capsize and I made it through the lagoon. I am smiling in the photo but I didn't enjoy this experience. I am still traumatized from the first experience. However, I was determined to tick kayaking off my bucket list. The key to kayaking is coordination. If you want to go left you have to paddle right and vice versa. It's not for me :-( I was soo confused.

There were fun and teachable moments during the experience. I saw eagle rays, stingrays and colorful jelly fish. I actually held a jelly fish in my hand which was cool.

Going through the lagoon I had to lay flat in the kayak to go through the mangroves. That was pretty amazing. Pictured below is the lagoon surrounded by mangroves.

There were sea urchins in the water - not cool at all. If you decide to go kayaking please wear sea shoes and avoid stepping on sea urchins. Pictured below are sea urchins.

These stones are called batholith. Batholith is a greek for large stones. Apparently, these stones were deeeeeep within the surface of earth and shoots their way up to the surface when magma forms. That's the reason why these rocks are always hot! It has little to do with the sun shining on them all day they are naturally hot stones. Batholith stones are also used for hot stone massages.

Until next time, be safe and do what makes you happy.
I love your determine. Many persons would have given up but you persevered.
